#Coffeegoals

Lately I’ve been on the hunt for new coffee shops to go to, I do drink Starbucks quite often but I don’t know if it’s just me but I get a kind of tired of Starbucks just a tad. Don’t get me wrong it’s convenient and I’ll still continue to go there however, not sure why but most often than not their coffee gives me headaches and makes me feel sick which kinda defeats the purpose of coffee. Coffee is life especially having a 1 year old who likes to wake up early, I definitely need some energy to keep up with her thought the day. This morning I decided to go on yelp and look for new coffee shops in my area. I found Pachamama Coffee Cooperative and figured I’d check it out. It’s a nice cute place, they offer a simple menu of pour overs, espresso and coffee drinks.

All of their coffee and espresso is all organic which I love, who wouldn’t? Today was a “treat yo self” kind of day so I went with an iced mocha which whip, yum! It was a little pricey $5 for a 16oz mocha but can easily justified as it’s a local coffee shop using organic espresso and only a few cents more than Starbucks. I really enjoyed my mocha, it was so tasty! What I loved was that it had a perfect balance of sweetness and espresso, I’m not a black coffee kinda girl,I like flavor and sweetness in my coffee but it wasn’t crazy strong and not overly sweet, it was perfect. Overall, I had a great experience the employees were friendly, coffee was great and organic. The only downfall is the parking isn’t great the parking lot only has 4 spaces, I had to park down the street which wasn’t too bad thank goodness I had the stroller with me so I didn’t have to carry my sleepy girl, but other than that I give it 2 thumbs up! If your’e in the Sacramento area be sure to give Pachamama coffee a try!

Have a great day loves, talk to you soon!

Traveling with Baby

Good morning!

So next weekend my daughter and I are going on a family girl’s trip with my mom and sis to SLO. I have traveled with her in the past when she was like 4 months old but I’m sure it’ll be different this time now that’s she’s 1. I’ve already started to think about what I need to take, how much I should pack, what the weather will be like. It can definitely be a little overwhelming.Once I start packing next week, I will post a packing guide for traveling with baby. As of right now I’m doing some research to see what she really needs so I don’t go crazy and pack up our house for a 3 day trip.

I seriously can’t wait for our upcoming trip, of course it will be a lot of work being out all day with a 1 year old, but it’s so much needed, since my life consists of working full time, and coming home to take care of my family and the house. Especially since I don’t travel much or take much time off for family stuff. If any moms out there have an suggestions for traveling with your babes or any recommendations on places to see or things to do in SLO, please let me know!

Talk to you later!

Mask Monday!

Hey Loveys!

Last night I did my night time masking routine for hydrated and glowing skin. So I thought I would share the products I use and my night time process. My goal is to mask consistently at least a few times a week between detoxifying masks and hydrating sheets masks. I truly love skin care and believe that it’s so important to take care of our skin especially for a flawless makeup application. Lately I have been so off my skin care game, just dealing with working and busy being a mom, by the end of the night I’m so done and ready to pass out. I’m sure moms out there can relate with everything on our plates we just don’t have time for all that. Back to skin, I have dry skin and I do tend to breakout here and there especially if I don’t care of my skin like I should.

So last night I decided to have a mask Monday. I started with washing my face I currently use Purity cleanser by Philosophy (which I love), next I use the Pixi glow tonic toner, this toner is amazing it exfoliates your face to real smooth, soft glowing skin I highly highly recommend it. After my basic skin care I used a total of 3 different masks. First off, using face masks is so beneficial for your skin, what I love about masking is that there are so many great masks on the market that are made to specifically target certain skin concerns to help achieve beautiful skin. Whether you have oily, combo, dry, normal skin or need hydration or detoxifying or to get rid of breakouts, there are so many masks out there for your needs.

(BTW don’t mind my mom do) I started with a detoxifying mask to help trap and rid my face of all impurities stuck in my pores and that are trapped deep below the surface. My favorite mask for that is the Indian Healing clay mask, the benefits of this mask is it gets rid of all this toxins, oil and dirt trapped underneath the skin, once applied to the skin it will get tight and you will feel a pulsating sensation which helps with blood circulation,it helps get rid of acne or blemishes on the face and gets deep into the pores. Not only is this mask so affordable, it works so well and the one mask I trust to help detox my skin, you also get a ton of product which is a huge plus! Next I used a hydrating sheet mask to help bring back the moisture into my skin, I used the TonyMoly master lab intensive hydrating sheet mask with hyaluronic acid.

Since I have such dry skin I love using products with hyaluronic acid, it helps the skin retain moisture, it helps with anti aging, overall it helps hydrate the skin creating smooth, soft, supple and radiant skin. Ummm who wouldn’t love that?! What I love about sheet masks is that it deeply hydrates the skin in as little as 20 minutes and you massage the remaining product into the skin, no rinsing needed. Lastly, I used the H20+ beauty water bright color correcting mask. I used this mask as an overnight mask, itys’ supercharged with Vitamin C, designed to help fade the appearance of dark spots, improves uneven skin toned dullness and reveals radiant skin. I have redness and uneven skin tone so I love that I can leave this on overnight and not only will it help revitalize and moisturize the skin it will help improve my skin tone.

Yes, this may sound like a lot of work but it’s truly beneficial to help give you flawless, beautiful skin.I love using all different types of masks, and for all the mamas out there or even if you’re not a mom its a great way to unwind and relax, try it with a glass of wine too! Sometimes you just need some me time. Hope you enjoy my tid bit about skincare and the products I love. I would love any recommendations or suggestions regarding skin care, feel free to leave in the comments.

Cold Pressed Juice Anyone?

When my hubs and I moved into our neighborhood last fall we stumbled upon a hidden gem called Liquidology. After our first visit we immediately fell in love with is place. Why you may ask? Well just a little quick background, my hubs has always been all about staying healthy and fit, whether it’s going to the gym 5 days a week or eating clean, he’s always on the hunt for new ways to continue to stay healthy. Now for me, it’s definitely been a challenge after having a baby, and being a full time working mama to follow his path and keeping a healthy lifestyle.

As much as I want to be fit, as of right now it’s tough to get a ton of workouts in. I’ve come to the conclusion is along as I’m healthy and eat right that’s all that matters. Anyway, what I love about Liquidology is that you’re able to to get a serving ,if not more of fruits and veggies retaining all of those amazing vitamins and nutrients that our bodies need to keep us healthy, ,perfect for on the go,all in a delicious juice form. I love that their juices are in their raw form, they don’t taste overly sweet and they have a wide variety of different juices, and juice cleanses to choose from.

Not only do they offer amazing juices, they also have acai bowls, smoothies, avocado toast and so much more. If you’re in the Sacramento area I highly recommend you go check out Liquidology, it’s our fav healthy spot and I know you’ll enjoy it too! The cool part is if you’re not in the area, if you go on their website you can order fresh juices and they will ship it to your door, how awesome is that?
